Hollywood Beyond

Hollywood Beyond is the pseudonym of the British singer, pianist, guitarist and songwriter Mark Rogers (* March 3, 1960 in Birmingham). The single What's the Colour of Money? became a European hit in 1986.

Biography

First, Mark Rogers got classical piano lessons. By impressions he won at concerts of Black Sabbath, his interest grew hard rock, so he learned to play the guitar. The Jimi Hendrix fan collected live experiences when he played in various Latin jazz bands.

In July 1986, Rogers succeeded as ' Hollywood Beyond ' with What's the Colour of Money? the jump in the UK ( 7th place), a little later in the German ( No. 21 ), Austria ( 15th place) and Swiss ( 14th) charts. The producer of the song was Stephen Hague, who was known for his work with the Pet Shop Boys and OMD.

The second single No More Tears reached in September of the same year 47th in the UK before Save Me climbed to only number 91 in May 1987. More single success came from. In early 1987, appeared the only Hollywood Beyond album with If. It sold moderately well.
