The Hornbeker mill creek is a 7 km long river in the Duchy of Lauenburg the German state of Schleswig -Holstein. It rises at Niendorf ad St. and flows at Hornbek through a deeply carved V-shaped valley in the Elbe- Lübeck Canal (before 1900 in the Delvenau ). The Old Salt Road crossed it here on the mill dam.

He had special significance because it was 810 since part of the Limes Saxoniae and thus formed the border between Saxony and Abodrites ( Slavs ).
