Hornbek

Hornbek is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

History

The village was mentioned in documents as " Horgenbece " in Ratzeburg tithe register of 1230. 1391 bought the Hanseatic city of Lübeck Hornbek to ensure the safety of the Old Salt Route. 1747 the village to the Duchy of Lauenburg was ceded.
