Hamwarde
Hamwarde is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein east of Hamburg.
History
The first mention alsHonwarde was in 1230 in Ratzeburg tithe register. The name is Saxon in origin.
Policy
Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the SPD has since the municipal election 2008, seven seats and the CDU four.
Coat of arms
Blazon: " left diagonally divided by gold and green. Up to a growing division of the red windmill, down a golden inverted to the left horse head. "
Mill and horse head stand for the agricultural character Hamwardes. By 1950, a mill stood on a hill in the municipality.
