Geographical location

The community Escheburg is immediately adjacent to the south-eastern border of Hamburg. The village itself is located about three kilometers east of the border and about four kilometers west of Geesthacht. Escheburg is thus directly in the so-called affluent suburbs of Hamburg, in the scenically attractive area between Saxony forest in the north and the River Elbe in the south. Geology
