Kollow
Kollow is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.
Geography
The village is located about three kilometers south of Schwarzenbek.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1230 in Ratzeburg tithe register as Coledowe for the first time. The name is of Slavic origin and the word might be borrowed for Kolo wheel. It is concluded on an original investment of the settlement as Rundling, of which, however, nothing can be seen today. Since 1948, the community is part of the Office Schwarzenbek country.
Policy
Of the nine seats in the municipal council voters Community WHC since the local elections 2008 eight seats. One seat is held by a single applicant.

Kollow is in the range of the Hamburg Transport Association. The auto power connects the village on weekdays with the city of Geesthacht and the nearest train station, Schwarzenbek on the railway line Hamburg-Berlin, five kilometers north of Kollow.
In Schwarzenbek exists with the federal highways 207 (Hamburg -Lübeck ), 209 ( Schwarzenbek -Lüneburg ) and 404 (Kiel -Lüneburg ) and the nearest links to the federal trunk road network.
