Fredeburg

Frede Castle is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. It is the smallest municipality by population in the county.

Geography

Fredeburg between Ratzeburg and Mölln at the Old Salt Road ( Federal Road 207) from Lüneburg to Lübeck in the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park and has next to a boar gates also a bison enclosure, located on the historic route of the old salt road from thence southwards through the district forestry Farchau Mölln leads to.

The municipal area consists mostly of forest. The municipal border with Mölln runs through the only waters in Fredeburg, the Pinnsee.

History

The place at the motel " Christopherskrug ", built donjon was first mentioned in 1408 " Vredeborch ". He was already part of the Lübeck Landwehr. Since 1683 fell into the attachment.

Policy

Since the municipality has less than 70 inhabitants, it has a community meeting place of a municipal council; these belong to all citizens of the community.
