Basthorst
Basthorst is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.
Geography
The village is located about 10 km north of Schwarzenbek.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1278 for the first time. Since 1962, the community is part of the Office Schwarzenbek country.
Policy
Of the nine seats in the municipal council has the voter community ABW since the local elections 2008, five seats and the voter community FWB four.

The center of the village is the Basthorst. The farm and the lands are cultivated since the 14th century. Today, regular markets are held on the estate, in the buildings of Wirtschaftshofs various craft shops and restaurants are housed.
The evangelical church in the center of the town is surrounded by the village cemetery. It dates from the 19th century. The construction of hewn stone box is decorated in the style of Gothic Revival, in the interior, which relics of an earlier building have received.
