Hollenbek

Hollenbek is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

History

The village is first mentioned in documents as Holembeke in Ratzeburg tithe register 1230. For the year 1557 a chapel belonging to the Parish Sterley is occupied in Hollenbek it has made back before 1581. From 1948 to 2006, the village belonged to the Official Sterley that was summarized in 1971 by the Office for Official Gudow Gudow - Sterley. Since the dissolution of the Office Gudow - Sterley the community belongs to the Official Lauenburg Lakes.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council has the voter community AWH since the municipal election 2008, four seats, the SPD and three voters Community FWG has two seats.

Traffic

1897, the station was opened in Hollenbek. The so-called Kaiserbahn led by Hagenow country over Ratzeburg and Bad Oldesloe to Neumünster and joined at both ends to the existing state railway connections between Berlin and Hamburg or Altona- Kiel. In 1899 Hollenbek was additionally connected to Mölln, this was a long time the nickname " Hein Hollenbek ".

At the end of World War II exploded an ammunition train in the station.

After the total traffic was already set on the route to Mölln 1959, followed in 1962, the setting of the passenger transport Ratzeburg after the track direction due Hagenow had been interrupted since 1945 by the German division. The tracks in the station area were reduced substantially later.

Today is offered on the setting of residual freight traffic on the remaining distance to Ratzeburg leisure traffic on track cars.
