Walksfelde

Walksfelde is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

History

Walksfelde was first mentioned as Walegota in 1158 in a document, when it got Evermod Bishop of Ratzeburg as part of the basic equipment of the episcopal Tafelguts. Therefore Walksfelde came later as part of the Principality of Ratzeburg of Mecklenburg -Strelitz. It belonged to the Greater Hamburg Act of 1937, Mecklenburg, and came in the following year to the Duchy of Lauenburg. 1939 Walksfelde was incorporated into the neighbor municipality Poggensee. In 1951 the again independent municipality to the Official nuts, which came up in 2008 in the Official Sandesneben - nuts.
