Horní Meziříčko

Horni Meziříčko ( German Upper Meseritschko ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is situated 18 kilometers east of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec. It has about 110 inhabitants.

Geography

Horni Meziříčko is located in the valley of the creek in the center of Hamerský Javořická Highlands. The village is located on the western shore of the pond Velkomeziříčký rybnik. To the north rises the 644 m high Kámen.

Neighboring towns are Palupín and Horni Dvorce in the north, Jilem in the northeast, Horni Němčice in the east, and Maršov Velky Jenikov the southeast, Maly Jenikov in the southwest and Strmilov in the West.

History

The 1361 first mentioned in Horni Meziříčko was once a small noble residence with festivals and farm. 1593 acquired Adam II von Neuhaus dominion, and smote them with his possessions in Telc to. In 1850 Horni Meziříčko had 188 inhabitants.
