Hornà NÄ›mÄice
Horni Němčice ( German Upper Niemtschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 20 kilometers east of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec. It has about 100 inhabitants.
Geography
Horni Němčice is located in the valley of the creek in the center of Studenský Javořická Highlands. The village lies at the foot of Kopanina ( 643 m). To the east rises the 759 m high Pivničky.
Neighboring towns are Jilem and Studena in the north, Skrýchov in the northeast, Poldovka in the east, in the southeast Brandlín, Maršov in the south, Velky Jenikov the southwest, Horni Meziříčko in the west and Palupín and Horni Dvorce in the northwest.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1358 as Nempezio.
In 1830 the school began. 1870 was the site of 43 houses and had 250 inhabitants. 1911, the road link to Brandlín.
