Horní Skrýchov

Horni Skrýchov ( German Obergrieschau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-east of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

Horni Skrýchov is located on the right side of the Nežárka on the outskirts of Jindřichův Hradec. The village lies on the railway from Jindřichův Hradec to Obrataň and has a train stop.

Neighboring towns are Dolni Radouň in the north, and Lovětín Jarošov nad Nežárkou in the northeast, Rodvínov in the east, in the southeast Jindřiš, Dolni Skrýchov in the south, Radouňka the southwest, Velky Ratmírov in the west and Studnice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from the year 1384.

In 1906 the place with the commissioning of the narrow -gauge railway from Obrataň to Jindřichův Hradec a railway connection.
