Game History

Aim of the game

On the board there is a way, are drawn on the various fields of action. Left and right are plots, which are to be acquired, this can be upgraded by hotel buildings and entrances there. Who - determined by the number of dice - stops at the entrances, lodges there and paid the appropriate rent. Through the purchase and sale of hotels and entire systems as well as shortage of money the individual players finally goes one of the players as the winner by having all corporations or other players all have no more money.

Since there are unlike Monopoly neither event cards yet Mortgages are available ( to compensate for a short-term lack of money ), there is a danger that the game after the final removal of all hotel complexes is rather monotonous - it is finally just rolled and the respective hotel accommodation price discharged ( until one player after the other becomes insolvent ). If the individual hotels very balanced distributed to the players, the game can also take a long time.

Detailed game play

  • The "Buy " field is characterized by the money of the bundle icon. There, the player has the option to purchase the adjacent property ( on a field or two adjacent properties are possible, but you can buy in a turn only one). The purchase price is specified in the associated map.
  • The " Baugenehmigungs-/Bau " field shows ( depending on version) a hard hat or a building plan including surveying device. Now the player has a building permit to apply for one of its properties, which belongs to him and not only adjacent, to build hotel building option. If he wants this, the player must first determine how many buildings he wants to build on the selected plot (min. 1, max. Them all at once ). Then must be rolled with a separate cube, the following pages comprises: Red means the player does not receive a building permit and must not build this turn. Green ( 3x on the dice available) means he builds buildings for fixed price which he pays to the bank. 2x means he built the building at twice the price. And there is a free field (H ) on the cube, where the player gets paid or the building. (If a building permit was issued, the player must build the proposed building in any case (if that is even at twice the price ). The only alternative to the construction is then an auction of the property together with all existing building to another player. The amount of the rent may vary depending upon the stage of development of the hotel ( = star ) and the number of nights ( 1-6 ). The latter is determined by an additional design with the normal cube.
