Hrabyně (also Hrabina or Robin, German Hrabin ) is located in the Moravian-Silesian Region Czech Republic i.

Location

Hrabin located 8 km north of Kravař, 10 km southeast of Hlučín, 13 km southwest of Bílovec and 13 km west of the county town of Opava.

History

Hrabyně belonged to the Duchy of Opava and was first mentioned in 1377, when the duchy was divided among his four sons after the death of the Duke Nicholas II, in addition, the duchies Ratibor, Jägerndorf and Leobschutz emerged. Hrabin remained with the Duchy of Opava and came as a fief of Henry of Bítov ( Jindřich z Bětova also Bítova z ), it remained with his descendants until 1528. They erected around 1497 a wooden chapel, which was consecrated Assumption. Acquired in 1528 by Heinrich fill block Hrabyně, the ( SIPA Jindřich z Branice ) gave it soon to Heinrich Schipa of Branitz. In 1535 it passed to George / George of Tvorkov on Radun ( Jiří Tvorkovský na Raduni ).

After the death of Berthold / Pertold of Tvorkov 1637 indebted estates were handed over to the guarantor. They sold the property to Mary Magdalene Donat, who resold it to her husband Heinrich Karl Donat of large Pahlom. 1678 was followed by Count Albrecht of Grzymała and after his death his wife, who bequeathed the property to her brother Johann Franz Rembovský of Rembov, who sold it in 1687 to Maximilian Mitrowsky of Nemischl. In this generation, the Church of the Assumption and a hospital on the site of the wooden chapel built and the former festivals rebuilt into a baroque palace. 1780 brought the Emperor Joseph II in his capacity as King of Bohemia Hrabyně to the city and also gave her the privilege for six years markets. 1832 went on the ownership of Ernst Otto Ritter von Baden field and then to the Teutonic Knights. 1938 Hrabyně was incorporated into the German Reich and expropriated the German Order. Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Opava. When the war ended in 1945 Hrabyně suffered great destruction.
