HraniÄné
Hraničné (Slovak to 1948 " Granastov "; German border village or Grana village, Hungarian Határhely - to 1907 Granasztó ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia.
Location
It is located in Ľubovnianska Highlands Highlands, on the banks of Hraničná brook, between the towns of Stara Ľubovňa (11 km south ) and Piwniczna -Zdrój in Poland (8 km to the north, the border is 5 km away).
History
The village was first mentioned in 1342 as Granaszto. Worth seeing is the Roman Catholic wooden church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary from 1785.
