Hříšice

Hříšice ( German Reispitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast of Dačice in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

The Moravian village Hříšice is located on the right side above the valley of Vápovka. To the east stretches a chain of hills, whose highest point is the 665 m high Bába.

Neighboring towns are Strachoňovice and Dolni Vilimec in the north, Cerveny Hradek in the northeast, Jersice and Horni Slatina in the east, and Vesce Budíškovice the southeast, Dobrohošť in the south, Bílkov the southwest, Maly Pěčín in the west and Černič in the northwest.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1353 as the property of Bohuněk of Volfířov. Since the end of the 14th century the castle was Hříšice Bílkov submissive and after its destruction in 1444 the place came to power Dačice.

The village consisted of 26 farms in 1656 and 1840 there were 40 houses with 237 inhabitants. 1870 Hříšice became an independent municipality.

After 1959 Jersice already had been incorporated to Cerveny Hradek, 1980 also Hříšice was incorporated. Since 1990 Hříšice again forms a separate municipality.

The municipality consists of the villages Hříšice Hříšice ( Reispitz ) and Jersice ( Jersitz ).
