Hronský Beňadik

Hronský Beňadik ( until 1948 slovak " Svätý Benedictine " - to 1960 " Svätý Beňadik "; German Saint Benedict, Hungarian Garamszentbenedek - to 1888 Szentbenedek ) is a municipality in the western central Slovakia.

It is located in Pohronie, between the Pohronský Inovec and Selmec mountains, about 45 km from Nitra and 17 km from Levice.

The municipality includes not only the main town yet the 1971 is my finished Psiare village.

The community is known for the medieval Benedictine monastery. The Hungarian King Géza I. founded the monastery in the year 1075 under the name Monasterium Ecclesia Sancti St. Benedict. Since 1945 it is a national monument.
