Huachiew Chalermprakiet University
The Huachiew - Chalermprakiet University ( Thai มหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ; short HCU) is a private university in Amphoe Bang Phli, Samut Prakan province, a southern suburb of the Thai capital Bangkok.
History
Precursor of Huachiew - Chalermprakiet University was the Huachiew School of Midwifery. It was founded in 1941 by the Sino- Thai Poh Teck Tung Foundation, and offered courses for nursing and midwifery at. In 1981 the school received the status of a private university with a faculty. Converted into the Huachiew University College was then in 1992, since then it bears the name Huachiew - Chalermprakiet University. The university now owns nine faculties and a graduate school.
