Hugo Chávez (footballer)

Hugo Chávez Guillermo ( born October 16, 1976 in Veracruz, Veracruz ) is a former Mexican football player on the position of the defender.

Life

Chavez began his career as a professional football player in 1993 at his hometown club Tiburones Rojos Vera Cruz, where he was until 1997 under contract and more common with the start of the 1995/96 season came to inserts after he was allowed in 1994/95 to gain practical experience in the branch team Delfines Jalapa.

In 1997 he moved to CA Monarcas Morelia, with whom he won the only title in its club history in the Torneo Invierno 2000.

During his five years at the Monarcas he also achieved a leap in the Mexican national team, for whom he two bets on one half against Chile (1-0 on 11 April 2001 ) and England ( 0-4 on May 26, 2001 ) completed.
