Human's Lib

Human's Lib is the debut album by British pop musician Howard Jones. The album was released on March 17, 1984 in the UK and on June 12, 1984 in the United States. It went straight to # 1 in the UK album charts and stayed there for 57 weeks. In the first week after the publication of 100,000 copies sold and was there with 2 × platinum award for over 600,000 units sold. In many European countries, the album was certified gold and was also a success in Japan and in the USA.

Four songs from the album were released as singles, and all reached the British Top 20: New song ranked # 3, What Is Love? Place # 2, Hide and Seek ranked # 12 and Pearl in the Shell ranked # 7 New Song and What Is Love? also managed the leap into the American Billboard Hot 100

Equality was only released as a single in South Africa, as a comment to the policy of apartheid.
