Human Fortress
Human Fortress is a power metal band from Hannover.
Band History
1998 found the band with Jioti Parcharidis, at the time still at Chateau, the new singer and a new style. As a metal band in the band Human Fortress renamed.
In 1999, the band recorded another demo, with Burkhard Becker ( also Chateau ) on keyboards. In early 2000 received the demo some good reviews and the producer Tommy Newton ( Victory ) contacted the band. For now following production of the first album came keyboardist Dirk Marquardt and, as a replacement for the retiring Thomas Albrecht, drummer Apostolos " Laki " Zaios the band.
After production was completed in August 2000, was looking for a label. The song The Dragon 's Lair won the competition organized by the magazine Rock Hard Unheard of, and in February 2001, the band signed with LMP.
The debut album Lord of Earth and Heaven's Heir appeared on 17 September 2001.
Already more than a year before the release of their debut, the band began writing songs for the second album. Again directed by Tommy Newton was the production from June to October 2002. Early 2003 sparked one contract with LMP and instead came under with Massacre Records. In addition, Frank Sawade joined the band to relieve Volker Trost as guitarist. In part, the band is now performing with three guitarists, for example at the Wacken Open Air 2003.
In October of the year, their second album Defenders of the Crown, shortly thereafter, Volker Trost pulled back completely out of the band.
The summer of 2007 brought further lineup changes: Singer Jioti Parcharidis and drummer Apostolos " Laki " Zaios left the band, producer Carsten Frank (formerly Gallo Glass) and Arndt Krone ( LA Music Academy, Torfrock ) increased as a singer or drummer.
On 25 April 2008 the third studio album by the band, Eternal Empire appeared ( again with Massacre Records), which contains, inter alia, the first music video of the band. Following the publication guitarist Torsten Wolf and drummer Arndt crown left the group, the latter found with Vincent Gongala a successor.
In May 2009 the band announced that Frank Sawade, Pablo J. Tammen, Dirk Marquardt and Vincent Gongala start with singer Eva Skamira a new band called Ember Sea to continue the separation started with the third album by the power metal in favor of stylistic breadth. Shortly thereafter, reformed the old line-up of the former members Jioti Parcharidis, Torsten Wolf, Volker Trost and Apostolos " Laki " Zaios.
New in the band are keyboardist Dirk Liehm and longtime roadie of the band, Ingmar von Berg, who will take over the bass part.
The reformed band has undertaken to continue to play music in the style of the first two albums. Currently, a new singer is after re- phasing Parcharidis ' re looking for.
