The Hünersedel is a mountain in the Middle Black Forest with a height of 744.5 m above sea level. NHN. It lies on the border of the two municipalities Schuttertal and free office. The summit of the mountain is located at the northern end of the municipal area of open office. On Hünersedel the river Schutter springs. The Hünersedel was the highest mountain in the old district of Lahr.

On 2 October 2004, inaugurated on the Hünersedel the Hünersedelturm after one year of construction. The 29 -meter high observation tower was built with the help of private donations ( € 200,000 ). The design was first assembled on the ground and erected in connection with the help of a crane. The basic carrier of the tower consist of three large logs ( height of the largest carrier 27,55 meters), which are supported by two other tribes. The Douglas fir wood for the tower was struck in Freiaemter forest. The tower offers a spacious panoramic view over the Rhine valley to Strasbourg and Colmar, the Vosges, the emperor chair, over the almost entire western slope of the Black Forest of the Blue, Ballon, Schauinsland and Feldberg in the south over the candelabra, Rohrhardsberg and Fohrenbühl to fire head Mooskopf and Hornisgrinde in the north and adjacent valleys of the Black Forest ( Elz Valley, Kinzig valley, Schuttertal, Bleichtal ).
