Hurtigruten Group

Hurtigruten ASA is a Norwegian shipping company based in Narvik, as well as additional offices in Tromsø and Stokmarknes. History

The shipping company was only founded in March 2006 as a merger of the shipping company Troms Fylkes Dampskibsselskap A / S ( TFDS ) with the above Ofotens Vester Aalen Dampskibsselskap A / S ( OVDS ). First, it changed its name one years under the name Hurtigruten Group ASA until it got its current name in March 2007.

Financial problems

The mail boat line Hurtigruten

The shipping company operates all ships on the mail boat Hurtigruten. Investments

The shipping company holds a 50 % stake in the Norwegian shipping company Nor Lines. Furthermore, the Hurtigruten ASA holds 70.15 % of the shares of TIRB, a transportation company based in Finnsnes that uses next inter-city bus and truck in local and long-distance transport.
