Flaggensalmler ( Hemigrammus ulreyi )

The Flaggensalmler ( Hemigrammus ulreyi ), also called Ulreys tetras, is a central Brazil ( Mato Grosso ) and occurring in the Paraguay River freshwater fish. The species was named after Albert B. Ulrey, an American zoologist.

Features

He is 4.5 to 5 cm in size. His body is generic typically designed, but somewhat deep-bodied than other species of the genus and laterally flattened. His back color is gray - green to brown, flanks and belly are nearly colorless and only slightly shining silvery yellow. A longitudinal band above until golden metallischgrün, black below, extends from the gill cover to the caudal peduncle. A black line extends along the anal-fin base. In the male, the anal fin is front lined white. The first fin ray of the dorsal fin is black below, the following yellowish to orange. The fins are transparent, the adipose fin orange.
