Hyundai
Hyundai [ çʌnd̥ɛ ] is a part of the name of various South Korean companies. They were most often formed as a subsidiary of Hyundai Group was founded in 1947.
In Europe, Hyundai Motor Company is denoted by Hyundai mostly.
The Hyundai Group was split on 1 April 2003 in five separate Holdings:
- Hyundai Group (including the Hyundai Merchant Marine, one of the largest shipping companies in the world )
- Hyundai Kia Automotive Group ( known subsidiaries are the Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors )
- Hyundai Department Store Group
- Hyundai Development Group
- Hyundai Heavy Industries Group (including Hyundai Heavy Industries, the largest shipyard in the world )
