İbrahim Üzülmez

İbrahim Üzülmez ( born March 10, 1974 in İzmit ) is a former Turkish football player, coach and commentator.

Life

Early Üzülmez began to play football. Since his father did not allow him, he hid himself and played with other football. On the radio, he always listened to football games and he was a big fan of Metin Tekin. His biggest dream was to be present at a game of Beşiktaş İnönü Stadium in Istanbul.

Playing career

Association

When he played with 16 years of football with his friends, his talent was discovered by Gönenspor. After playing there for a year, he moved to Kardemir Karabükspor, but did not in the squad. He had to do his military service and was while on loan at Amasyaspor. After his military service was done, he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for Gaziantepspor. After one and a half years he moved to Beşiktaş Istanbul in 1999, where he plays in the defensive line left. In the season 2002/2003 he was able to prove and was also appointed to the Turkish national team. There, the left-footer was used until 2009 37 times.

After a brawl between him and his teammates İbrahim Toraman Üzülmez was summarily suspended and sentenced to a fine of 150,000 YTL ( € 77 830 ), and he also was put on the transfer list. These penalties were also imposed Ibrahim Toraman. The reason why the Board of Beşiktaş Üzülmez and Toraman has as high punished, was that both were the captains of the team.

After a repeated brawl with Ibrahim Toraman in the cabin on 13 February 2011 will be the end of season expiring contract was terminated prematurely.

National

Üzülmez completed during his career 37 caps for the Turkish national team, scoring one goal.

Coaching career

After end of his career he worked for about two years as a football commentator on Turkish television. For the second half of the season 2012/13 he took over at second division Çaykur Rizespor the co- coaching job and assisted his former head coach Mustafa Denizli.
