Icon in Me

Icon in Me is a Russian thrash metal band from Moscow, which was founded in 2007.

History

The band was founded in November 2007 by guitarist D. Frans. Within the next two months, met guitarist Artyom Sherbakov, drummer Morten Sørensen and bassist Konstantin Løwe the band. In the Studio of Jacob Hansen ( Destruction, Mercenary, Raunchy ), they studied a few songs and started in early November with the recordings. Meanwhile, D. Frans looked around for a singer and took place in January 2008, Tony J. Jelencovich a suitable occupation. In October they finished the recordings. The band also played their first gig as the opening act for Machine Head in Moscow. In February 2009, the band signed a contract with Massacre Records and released their debut album Human Museum in early May.

This was followed by a tour of Russia along with Lamb of God. In the same year also appeared online EP, including three on the covers of Sepultura, Ultravox and Faith No More were heard.

Mid-July 2011, the band released with Head Break Solution their second album. On the album ( ex-) members of bands like Megadeth, The Haunted or Nightrage were heard.

Style

The vocals alternate between guttural and clear vocals. On drums, the use of blast beats is characteristic. The guitar passages are kept melodic.
