Ida Bjørndalen

Ida Bjørndalen ( born May 6, 1983 in Sarpsborg ) is a Norwegian handball player.

Career

Bjørndalen started playing handball at Spydeberg. After she then ran aground on Skiptvet, she moved before the 2000/ 01 season to HK Trøgstad 97, with whom she in the 1st Division, the second highest Norwegian league, climb on the end of the season. In the summer of 2005, she committed Larvik HK as the successor of Vigdis Hårsaker. Bjørndalen won with Larvik for the seasons 2005/ 06 and 2006/ 07, the Norwegian championship. At the beginning of the 2007/ 08 fell into financial difficulties Larvik, Larvik had so reduce his squad. End of October 2007, she joined the Danish first division club Viborg HK, which in turn was due to an injury on the lookout for a left-hander. Bjørndalen played so far 26 caps for the Norwegian national team, in which she scored 35 goals. So far, they participated only at the 2012 European Championship with Norway.
