IFK Skövde

Skovde is a Swedish handball club, whose men's team in the top Swedish league, Elitserien, playing.

The IFK Skövde was founded in 1907. It consisted of various departments, including a handball section. 1991, the individual sections of the club became independent and formed their own clubs.

The Skovde plays since 1990 in the Swedish Elitserie.

In 1992, the Skovde the first time in a European contest, the European Cup Winners' Cup. Other appearances followed in the following years. 1995, they played at European level for the first time in the City Cup, Challenge Cup today. The international high point was reached in the 2003/04 season, when the Skovde won the Challenge Cup.

The largest national successes were the profits of the Vice - Championship in 2005 and 2007.
