Igbon Island

Igbon Iceland is a Philippine island in the province of Iloilo. It is located about 4 km off the east coast of Panay Island, at the northern entrance of the Guimaras Strait in the Western Visayan Sea. To the northwest are in 4.2 km Pan de Azucar Island, 2 km Botlog Iceland and 3 km Tago Iceland. To the north lie within 1.1 km, Agho and 2.5 km away Malangabang Iceland.

On the island of the same name lies Barangay Igbon, this is part of the administrative structure of the Greater Municipality Concepcion. This had exactly 2380 inhabitants in 2010 and is described as a village. Regular ferry to the island do not exist, it must outrigger boats are available for hire in the fishing harbor of Concepcion. The crossing takes about 30 minutes.

The topography of the island is characterized by a hilly terrain that rises above sea level in the south to 236 meters. The coastline of about 4.2 km long and about 3.1 km wide island is fringed by sandy beaches. To the north and south-west are extensive coral reefs of the island in front, whose Riffsaumkanten fall into steep, sometimes vertical walls into the depths. The vegetation of the island is a tropical vegetation, which consists mostly of coconut palms, mango trees and bushes.
