Igor Mitreski

Igor Mitreski [ igɔr Mitreski ] ( Macedonian Игор Митрески; born 19 February 1979 in Struga ) is a Macedonian football player.

Career

Mitreski began playing football at the capital club Makedonija Skopje. Between 1997 and 2000, he joined the club annually within Macedonia, before playing five years in Russia with Spartak Moscow. With Spartak 2001 he became Russian Champion and won the 2003 Cup. About Metalurh Zaporizhia in Ukraine and the Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem, the center-back came in 2006 to the newly promoted Bundesliga Energie Cottbus. In early November 2008 Mitreski was initially suspended after public criticism of the Cottbus club officials indefinitely, but was allowed to train again a short time later with the team. In January 2009 he was loaned to Germinal Beerschot Antwerp. But the Belgian first division side did not pull the purchase option, so Mitreski returned to the Lausitz to FC Energie Cottbus, the descent now in the 2nd Bundesliga. Under Claus -Dieter Wollitz he returned to the root formation, but moved to the winter break 2009/10 CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria to. Since summer 2010 he is at Neftchi Baku under contract.

Igor Mitreski is also the Macedonian national team and came so far to 60 interventions in the national jersey.
