Airlines and destinations

The Air Greenland also leads flights on behalf of the government in remote settlements in the region of Disko Bay. Such flights are operated only during winter and spring, while the area in the summer and autumn is served by the Disko Line - ship route.

Expansion of the runway

The benefits of the airport is strongly debated in Greenland. On the part of local tourism and the local authorities there is pressure to extend the runway.
