Imagawa Yoshimoto

Imagawa Yoshimoto (Japanese今 川 义 元; * 1519, † June 12, 1560 ) is a daimyo of the Sengoku period average and was the feudal warlord who ruled the provinces of Suruga, Tōtōmi and Mikawa. In 1537 he married Takeda Shingen's half-sister, to make peace with the Takeda ( clan ) in the north of his lands. Yoshimoto 's daughter was later married to Shingen's son Yoshinobu. His son was Imagawa Ujizane which to justify later ( towards the end of the Sengoku period through marriage to the eldest daughter of Hōjō Ujitane the three Packt between the Imagawa ( clan ), Takeda ( clan ) and later Hōjō ( clan ) and thus the rise the kingdom unifier Oda Nobunaga and his allies to counter.
