History

In June 2005, IndiGo Airlines ordered 100 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family aircraft (70 Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321s ) worth 6 billion U.S. dollars. Of the first aircraft delivery was held on 28 July 2006. On June 22, 2011 IndiGo Airlines signed an order valued at 16.2 billion U.S. dollars for an additional 180 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family. Of the 180 aircraft will include 150 to the new modernized version Airbus A320neo.

Destinations

Most flights of Indigo are Indian domestic flights, there are a total of 27 Indian airports served. The main hubs are New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. In addition, Muscat in Oman, Dubai will be flown in the United Arab Emirates, Kathmandu in Nepal, Bangkok in Thailand and Singapore in foreign countries.
