Infanta Blanca of Spain
Doña Blanca de Borbón, Infanta of Spain; Complete name Doña Blanca de Castilla Maria de la Concepcion Teresa Francisca d' Assisi Margarita Juana Beatriz Carlota Luisa Fernanda needle Gunda Elvira Ildefonsa Regina Josefa Micaela Gabriela Rafaela de Borbón y Borbón ( born September 7, 1868 in Graz, Austria, † 25 October 1949 in Viareggio, Italy) was a Spanish princess and by marriage, Archduchess of Austria - Tuscany.
Life
Blanca was the eldest daughter of the Infante Carlos María de Borbón, Duke of Madrid (1848-1909), as " Carlos VII " pretender to the Spanish throne, and his wife Princess Margarita of Bourbon- Parma (1847-1893), daughter of Duke Charles III. of Parma and Princess Louise Marie Thérèse d' Artois.
1876 was the Spanish King Alfonso XII. his cousin ( first degree) Infanta Maria de las Mercedes d' Orléans - Montpensier married. However, this compound was not approved at the royal family - particularly at the former Queen Isabella II you had another bride for their son in the eye and although Doña Blanca.. But the king struck out and the other candidate and even got the support of the Spanish people. He married his cousin in 1878 in Madrid, but she died after six months of marriage from tuberculosis.
On October 24, 1889 married Infanta Blanca in Frohsdorf Archduke Leopold Salvator of Austria - Tuscany ( 1863-1931 ), eldest son of Archduke Karl Salvator and Princess Maria Immaculata of the Two Sicilies. From the marriage ten children were born:
