Life and career
After graduating from high school in 1982 in Neumünster Liebing first made his military service began in 1983 and a study of literature, political science and Oriental Studies at the Christian- Albrechts- University of Kiel, which he described as a Master of Arts (MA) graduated in 1990. He then worked as a research assistant at the CDU parliamentary group in the Schleswig- Holstein Landtag; recently, he worked as office manager and personal assistant to the Group Chairman Ottfried Hennig here from 1995 to 1996.
Ingbert Liebing is married and has two daughters. He has lived since 1996 in Sylt-Ost municipality on the island of Sylt.
Liebing came in 1977 in the Junge Union (JU ) and 1979 in the CDU one. He was from 1984 to 1989 Chairman of the JU district association Neumünster and 1985-1995 Deputy Chairman of the CDU district association Neumünster. Liebing belongs since 1993 to the Schleswig-Holstein state board of Local Political Association ( KPV) and the CDU since 1999 KPV - county chairman in North Frisia. Since 2005 he has KPV regional chairman in Schleswig -Holstein.
Member of Parliament
Liebing belonged from 1990 to 1996, the council of Neumünster and was here from 1991 to 1996 and Chairman of the CDU.
Since 2005 he is member of the German Bundestag.
Liebing is a directly elected representative of the constituency of North Frisia - North Dithmar drafted in the Bundestag. In the 2005 federal election he reached here 47.9% of the primary vote. In the 2009 federal election he was re-elected with 43.1 % of first preference votes directly in the Bundestag and in the general election of 2013 he was re-elected with 49.8 % as a deputy. In addition, he was elected to this legislature unanimously elected municipal policy spokesman of the group.
Liebing is a member of the European Union Parliamentarians German Bundestag.
Liebing was from 1996 to 2005 full-time mayor of the municipality Sylt-Ost and Chief Administrative Officer of the Office landscape Sylt.
