Insel Air

Island Air is an airline based in Willemstad, on the island of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles and base on the Curacao airport.

History

Island Air is a private initiative of various business and financial institutions, which were of the opinion that the ( former ) Netherlands Antilles need its own airline for regional flights at reasonable prices. She was finally established in 1993, however, the flight operations only began in August 2006 with an Embraer 110 -P1 Bandeirante with daily flights from Curacao to the neighboring island of Aruba. This was followed by flights to other neighboring island of Bonaire. Since January 2007, Insel Air connects the northern and eastern islands Sint Maarten.

Destinations

Insel Air operated in addition to several destinations in the Caribbean as Kralendijk and Philipsburg also destinations in North and South America, including Miami and Punto Fijo.

As of August 2013 the Island Air fleet consists of twelve aircraft:
