Intelsat 8

Intelsat 8 (formerly PanAmSat PAS 8 or 8) is a television satellite of the satellite operator PanAmSat. He was promoted under the name PanAmSat 8 on 4 November 1998 aboard a Proton rocket for the former PanAmSat into space. In 2006, the company acquired PanAmSat and Intelsat took over their satellites. PanAmSat 8 was renamed on 1 February 2007 in Intelsat 8.

Reception

The satellite can be received in East Asia, Australia and the western United States. The transfer is done in C- and Ku- band. Intelsat 8 shall remain in operation until the end of 2019.
