International Russian Rotary Children's Music Competition

The Rotary International Music Competition (International Russian Rotary Children Music Competition ) in Moscow, Russia, is taking place annually since 2002 music competition for kids aged 8 to 12 years. It is organized by the Rotary Club Moscow International and is a member of the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth (EMCY ).

Expiration

The competition takes place every year in March at the Moscow Conservatory or in the Central Music School in Moscow. Participation is open to all young musicians 8-12 years of violin, cello, harp, piano, and wind instruments, but the previous proposal of a Rotary club is required.

At the pre-selection jury determines a candidate using videos, each of which was sent by the representatives responsible for the musicians. Once the qualifiers were selected follows the semi-finals in Moscow, in which participants may three pieces, mainly of their choice present. The following final a piece from a pre-selection must be selected, which is played with an orchestra.
