Invocator

Invocator are a thrash metal band from Esbjerg ( Denmark).

History

The band was founded in 1986 as Black Creed. After a short time you change the name in Invocator. Two years later the first demo Genetic Confusion is published, which sold more than a thousand times. With a new rhythm section that second demo Alterations is taken a year later. This demo sold over two thousand times and Invocator be taken by Black Mark under contract. In the meantime, the band plays concerts with bands like Entombed, Psychotic Waltz and Gorefest.

In 1991 the debut album Excursion Demise is finally released, which fast, but tech savvy Thrash Metal offers. With pearl Hansen, meanwhile, is a new man on bass and Invocator tour as opening act for Dark Angel by Europe. Invocator be nominated at the Danish Grammy for Best Metal album.

Two years later the second album Weave the Apocalypse appears. The band picks up the pace of their music and acting catchier than before. Pearl Hansen switches from bass to guitar. Since Jacob Schulz refuses to take over the bass he leaves the band. For the following European tour by Jacobsen is committed, which is replaced after the tour by Carsten Mikkelsen.

1994 changes the band of Black Mark for Progress. As a first Progress publish the compilation Early Years, which contains the demos and cover versions of Dark Angel and Artillery. A year later the album Dying to Live, with which the band is touring Denmark appears. Drummer Per M. Jensen is shown the door because of his excessive hashish consumption. A short time later, the band dissolves.

In 2001, Jacob Hansen begins with former Autumn Leaves at Flemming C. Lund guitarists to write new songs. Together with drummer Brian Rasmussen is a new demo recorded in 2002. A short time later, bassist Carsten Mikkelsen closed again at the tape. On Mikkelsen's recommendation of drummer Jakob Gundel completed the band. A year later, the date last studio album was released Through the Flesh to the Soul, which was released about the company Scarlet Records.

Flemming C. Lund is also active in the band The Arcane Order.
