IParty with Victorious

ICarly: Party with Victorious ( Original title: iCarly: iParty with Victorious ) is an American film crossover between the two Nickelodeon series iCarly and Victorious. It was produced by Dan Schneider, under the developed and the corresponding series. It was directed by Steve Hoefer. iParty with Victorious, celebrated on June 4, 2011 in Los Angeles Premiere. In the United States, the crossover was broadcast on the television channel Nickelodeon on June 11, 2011 for the first time. In Germany, the crossover was broadcast on 1 October 2011.

Action

Carly is for three months with a boy named Steven together. Stevens parents are divorced, so he lives in Seattle with his mother and in Los Angeles with his father. Steven finally flies to Los Angeles where he goes out with Tori. Then Robbie takes a photo of the two and takes it upon TheSlap.com high, which Carly looks at random. While Sam thinks that Steven is a cheater, Carly believes in his innocence. Spencer continues with Carly, Sam, Freddie and Gibby to Los Angeles at a party in the new House of Kenan Thompson, will show up on the probably Steven. On August 29, 2010, Dan Schneider, the author of the series iCarly and Victorious, confirms the completion of the script of the crossover between the two series on Facebook and Twitter. Already the next day was the result into production. Production lasted for about three weeks. For the crossover has its own theme song under the name Leave It All to Shine, from the title song Leave It All to Me ( iCarly ) and Make It Shine ( Victorious ) produced.

The intro only contains scenes from the crossover. In addition, only the instrumental version of Leave It All to Shine is played. Justice is the only one of the cast of Victorious, which is mentioned by name in the intro.

Criticism

The film received mostly good reviews. Verne Gay of The Republic gave a positive assessment of what it hindeuted that iParty with Victorious one of the biggest TV events of the summer would be 2011. He also mentioned that the guy in the panda costume, chased Kenan Thompson through his house, was very funny. Carl Cortez of Assignment X praised the film, but was also a more critical review. He complained that the " mechanism " to verify that Carly's boyfriend is really cheating, is a bit far -fetched. Overall, he feels the film but as pleasant and adds the note " B ".

Extended Version

On July 2, 2011 Dan Schneider has announced that it is also an extended version of the crossover is produced. The term of the extended version is about two hours and thus contains 30 additional minutes of footage. At the end of the crossover of the mashup song was, Leave It All to Shine, sung. The song debuted at number 24 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. On 5 June 2011, the single release of the song Leave It All to Shine by Nickelodeon and Columbia Records was published. During the party at Kenan's house, including Give It Up by Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies and Number One ( My World ) by Ginger Fox from iCarly were played in the background.

Background

  • For the crossover specially the mashup song Leave It All to Shine was written, consisting of the title song Leave It All to Me and Make It Shine. This appeared in 2011 on the Victorious soundtrack.
  • Although the film is a crossover between the series iCarly and Victorious, the crossover is only counted as three-part iCarly movie, in which the cast of Victorious, only has a guest appearance.
