Description

The Scarlet Morning Glory is a climbing annuals, herbaceous plant. The leaf blades of the fan leaves are heart-shaped, pointed, and 5 to 15 cm long. The leaf margin is entire or lobed angular. The petioles are slender.

On a peduncle are a few to several flowers. The sepals are about 4 mm long, awned jaded but pfriemförmig forward. The crown is 2.5 to 4 cm long, five-lobed fünfwinkelig or weak. The stamens are about the crown out. The ovary is vierkammerig.

The fruits are spherical, 6-8 mm diameter end caps, which open four flaps. The seeds are partially hairy yellow-brown silky.
