Irakli Kortua

Irakli Kortua (Russian Ираклий Кортуа; Georgian ირაკლი ქორთუა; * October 15, 1987 in Gagra, Abkhazia ASSR ) is a Georgian football player. He was most recently at Dinamo Sukhumi in the Abkhazian League under contract.

Life and career

Born in Abkhazia Irakli Kortua began the professional football games in 2004 at FC Gagra Tbilisi in the Georgian League. He was then brought to the second team of Dynamo Kiev in the Ukraine. In 2006, he was loaned out from there to Tawrija Simferopol, arrived in Simferopol but no inserts. Kortua then joined the Latvian Club SK Blāzma, where he remained from 2006 to 2008 and almost 40 times stood on the court. In the 2009 season he was part of the squad of FC Dinaburg, also in the Latvian league. In 2009 he returned to his old club Gagra Tbilisi.

In 2012 he was part of the team of Dinamo Sukhumi in Abkhazia. According to his club he owns the Abkhaz citizenship.
