Irina Baskakova

Irina Baskakowa (Russian Ирина Баскакова, English transcription Irina Baskakova, . Born August 25, 1956) is a former Soviet sprinter who specialized in the 400 -meter run.

In 1981, she won gold at the Universiade. The following year she became Soviet champion. At the European Athletics Championships in Athens, she was in the individual competition and won fifth in the 4 x 400 meters relay with the Soviet team bronze.

In 1983, she was at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki Sixth and took in the relay with the Soviet team again bronze.
