Irma von Cube

Irma von Cube, or VonCube Irmgard Irmgard von Cube Irma von Cube - Kals, (* December 26, 1899; † July 25, 1977 in Los Angeles ) was a German screenwriter.

Life

She began her artistic career in the 1920s as a writer and actress. In 1928, she wrote screenplays, mainly Comedies, Dramas rare. Multiple they worked there together with Anatole Litvak.

Together with her ​​husband, the actor Erwin Kals, she left Germany in 1933 after the takeover of power by the National Socialists. She lived with Kals first in Switzerland and participated in Litvak's historical drama Mayerling and other French films.

Her son Constantine Kals ( born September 4, 1920 in Munich, † July 30, 1994 in Southampton, New York) was a photographer, film producer and film director.
