ISO 3166-2:CY

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for the Republic of Cyprus contains the codes for the 6 districts.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Republic of Cyprus CY), the second is the code for the district again. The current country code has not been updated since the publication in 1998.

Note

The codes do not consider the Turkish occupation of northern Cyprus. The local internationally unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has made ​​there a new division into 5 districts.
