Isolde Frölian

Isolde Froelian (* April 8, 1908; † November 6, 1957 ) was a German gymnast and Olympic champion.

At the Olympic Games 1936 Olympic team competition for gymnasts took place after 1928, for the second time. Isolde Froelian from Dresden finished eighth in the point standings. In the occupation Gertrud Meyer, Erna citizens, Kate Sohnemann, Isolde Froelian, Anita Bärwirth, Paula Pöhlsen and Friedl Iby and Julie Schmitt, the German team won the gold medal with three points ahead of the team from Czechoslovakia.

After the death of Isolde Froelian Dresdner replacement gymnast from 1936 Marga Barby inherited the gold medal, the medal remained in their possession until her death in 2004.
