Reviews

  • " The real villain in this piece is the system that corrupts the soul of the people, bringing them into the situation, so act like Angie. As Ken Loach does, is admirable and shaped by experience. His film is told quickly, effectively and fluently. The dialogues have great wit. With a light hand they condense complicated operations repeatedly to small, precise sketches, which are differentiated and yet at the same time worsen a problem without cheap partisanship. "(Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung)
  • Ken Loach "but it manages to show the double face of his super woman, but also arouses as much disgust with their vigorous existence as solidary feelings with her unscrupulous activity. " (Neue Zürcher Zeitung )
