Ivan Dornič

Ivan Dornič ( born April 12, 1985 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player who stands since 2011 at Metallurg Zhlobin in the Belarusian Extraliga under contract.

Career

Ivan Dornič began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of the HC Slovan Bratislava, for the first team, he made his debut in the Slovak Extraliga during the season 2002/ 03. In his rookie year, the center with his team immediately Slovakian champion. After this success, he went for one and a half years in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League in which he was active for the Portland Winter Hawks. Then he returned to Bratislava and was with Slovan in 2005 again Slovakian champion. This season, he ran in parallel for the HK Trnava in the first league game of the second Slovak class on.

In the middle of the season 2005/ 06 Dornič moved from Slovan Bratislava to its domestic rivals HK 36 Skalica. This he left after the season across only a year, and joined the BK Mladá Boleslav of the Czech second game class. In the 2007 /08 season the former youth international for HK Nitra stood in the Slovak Extraliga on the ice. He then spent two years in the league rivals MHC Martin, with whom he won at the European level the IIHF Continental Cup in the 2008 /09 season.

For the season 2010/11 Dornič received a sample contract with the newly formed HC Lev Poprad from the Kontinental Hockey League. Since this has not yet subsequently took up the game operation, he began the season at HK Detva in the second Slovakian league. He then joined the Königsborner JEC from the hockey league to, before joining the Rødovre Mighty Bulls of the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen in January 2011. There he became an instant player of the month of January. Since the season 2011/ 12 of the Slovak for Metallurg Zhlobin plays in the Belarusian Extraliga.

Internationally

For Slovakia Dornič took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2003. With this in seven games, he scored a goal and gave another presentation.
